Merry Christmas to you all

I know I have been slack with the posting but I am hoping to do more stitching in the new year, I am getting on with A Quaker Christmas, it won't be done this year but maybe next year. I am also going to get cracking on with my Ink circles mandala's and NBPQuaker.

You may know that I am going to be trying to beat the bulge starting Jan 1st, I will be doing another blog for my own personal diary of it and to encourage myself, also I am raising money for the Cats Protection Derby adoption centre, they currently have 163 cats and kitten waiting for homes at the moment with many more they cannot take in yet, which fosterer's are looking after. I have rehomed 3 myself :0)

I am hoping to lose about 4 stone. So please wish me luck!!!

Bella just let me put it on whilst giving me the evils

Lil lily was asleep and stayed asleep
Lil Lily will be going in for a visit to the Vets on Thurs, as she has become hormonal!! and keeps trying to get out, we don't need any more kittens

Here is DH with his Secret santa gift from work, it's a 2 and a half pint glass, I said it'd make a perfect vase.LOL
See the tree in the back ground, well it is back in it's box as I found my new ornament smashed on the floor, thanks to the tree cat!!
I have done alternate decorations where she can't reach. If you look there is a dark wooden shelf going around the top of the wall, I have pinned the lights up there and added the baubles. It looks quite pretty if I do say so myself. I still have my small stitchy tree up.

I haven't been great at the moment, I have a sore neck the Doctor said that it is similar to whiplash, and has given me Diazapam, which with that I cannot drive, so I have had to catch the bus, which is a pain!!

Off out tomorrow to Peterborough, I was supposed to be driving, but a friends husband will take us instead.
If I don't get back before the day Have a wonderful Christmas!!!

Vampires

I have been hooked on Vampires for a while, I love The Lost boys, it is one of my favourite films of all time, and I have read all the Twilight Saga books and watched the films that have been made so far. I have read the Morganville vampire books By Rachel Cain which is aimed at teens but I am a teen at heart! LOL

Recently I have been watching the Buffy and Angels got most of them on DVD didn't watch it when it was on TV didn't appeal to me then, But I do love it now. Oh and I do like 'Being Human', Blade, Vampires Assistant, Van Heilsing, Underworld, Interview with a Vampire.
I haven't got into that other series True Blood, maybe it was the slow dim witted blonde in it that put me off
Now I am watching series one of the Vampire diaries which is another series I am now hooked on

So what is it about these Mythical creaures I like so much, The hunky actors that play them, umm maybe, or the great stories, umm maybe.....or maybe I should stop analysing myself and just enjoy them!! ;0)

Anyone else like these type of stories? Do you know of any I haven't mentioned or forgotten about??

Monday 1 November 2010

New addition to the household.

Meet Lily our new kitten,
I couldn't resist her!
She was found at the JCB plant and one of the employees brought her in to the Cat's Protection when she was approx 6 weeks old she was so tiny.
She is approx 12 weeks now and a little madam, we went to fetch her on Thursday. So far Tango has been okay with her, but Bella was hissing and growling at her at first, although she is getting used to her, she's not hissing or growling at all now, still wary of her though.
When she is playing with Tango she bounces round like Tigger.

But you want to see my stitching don't you, here is Winter Mandala so far.

And here is Beatrix potter quaker sampler, I did the brown bit at the top.

I did also do an Ornie from the JCS Christmas Ornament mag, but it is for an exchage so can't show you just yet. There are a few I like out of the magazine, so hopefully I will have some to show you.

Ooo nearly forgot, postie delivered Woodland Enchantress today I asked Amanda if she still had it in stock, a while back but with my Mum being in hospital forgot to send payment. But she is here!
As for starting her LOL well could I cope with another WIP???
