WIPocalypse Feb

It's that time again for the WIPocalypse and here is my progress since the last Full Moon

Here is the little bit of progress, I have managed on NBPQ. I am getting bored with this one so for next time I will be working on a different WIP. Here is my January POST

I have stitched the two cottages, Just waiting for the March cottage to arrive.
I have changed Feb slightly, I have stitched blue birds like I have seen elsewhere on other's blogs. And I haven't stitched all the hearts I felt it was too much for me. I know that I will change the March one as I don't celebrate St Patrick's day. I might keep the colours but change the shamrocks. I will do the same for July and November as well.

I received a surprise package today from Karen, who has been de-stashing and she has sent me a selection of bits and bobs to help with fundraising for Cats Protection.

Thank you so much Karen, It is really appreciated!!((hugs))

I have been busy today, it was my eldest son's Progress day( Parent/Teacher meet), I am really pleased with his marks even though we have found out he hasn't been doing all his homework and he has been hiding the fact he has had detentions!! So he will be banned from his game for a while. *sigh*
Also been busy on the Cat front with a stray SEE HERE

thank you for stopping by xx

Naughty me...

Here's me posting my updates on the other blogs, I hadn't done here.
On Saturday I did some stitching on Treasure Hunt, No pic as yet!

And Sunday I re-started Bramble and the Rose by Ink circles for the Ink Circle stitchers Blog
I am finding it more enjoyable stitching on the lighter fabric over two than I did on black over one, I am not sure what I am doing with the black one yet, I may someday finish it when I get daylight lamp.
The fabric is lighter than this photo shows.

I also have stitched on Beatrix Potter on Saturday whilst at a friends house, and finished that circular motif at the top right
I have to say that a lovely friend is going to try and finish Isle of Sark for me as it has been a thorn in my side!I wonder if that is why I want to stitch again!

New addition to the household.

Meet Lily our new kitten,
I couldn't resist her!
She was found at the JCB plant and one of the employees brought her in to the Cat's Protection when she was approx 6 weeks old she was so tiny.
She is approx 12 weeks now and a little madam, we went to fetch her on Thursday. So far Tango has been okay with her, but Bella was hissing and growling at her at first, although she is getting used to her, she's not hissing or growling at all now, still wary of her though.
When she is playing with Tango she bounces round like Tigger.

But you want to see my stitching don't you, here is Winter Mandala so far.

And here is Beatrix potter quaker sampler, I did the brown bit at the top.

I did also do an Ornie from the JCS Christmas Ornament mag, but it is for an exchage so can't show you just yet. There are a few I like out of the magazine, so hopefully I will have some to show you.

Ooo nearly forgot, postie delivered Woodland Enchantress today I asked Amanda if she still had it in stock, a while back but with my Mum being in hospital forgot to send payment. But she is here!
As for starting her LOL well could I cope with another WIP???

Stitchy pics!!

On Wednesday the kids went to my sisters after school for tea, so I had a day to myself. So I decided to get out the Lord of the Rings DVD's and watched them back to back and stitch.A bit of Orlando Bloom!Yes it was bliss!!
I am quite pleased with myself as I have finished the border on the Beatrix Potter Quaker, Now just to do all the motifs on the inside.

I have been seeing a few Just Nan new starts on the blogs, as they have a SAL going on at Stitch and Stashers forum. So I dug out mine and made a start. I know I am naughty I have far too many wip's and many things that were top of the list to start first, but you know how it is when these whims just sweep us away!!

So here it is the chart ( Thanks Julie) and fabric is a sparkly greeny colour and DMC threads.
.I didn't have to fetch the kids after school Friday as they go to Grand parents so I had another DVD fest ,this time The Pirates of the Carribean. Nothing like a bit of Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom!!
And here is my first progress on this

Oh and last but certainly not least I received a package today from Hazel
.
I won the prize draw that was running on the Beatrix Potter Quaker Sampler SAL blog.
Enclosed are some goodies provided by Paula Sibbald of Kelmscott Designs, and a beautiful Needlecase and fob made by Hazel

I do love these, Thank you so much Hazel and Paula.
I have took over the running of the blog this year as Hazel has finished her Sampler, I hope to find something as nice to offer in this years prize draw.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate it!

Half a Bird!!

Have you enjoyed the snow or detested it?

Well it is on it's way out here, we were supposed to get more Sat/Sun but as usual the forecasters got it wrong again.

I finished this the other day, but I'm not gonna make it up yet, need some cardstock first, so thought I'd show you the progress

Working on an exchange piece at the moment, I think I will try and keep up with the exchanges I will be doing this year by putting a box in the sidebar so I can see what I have left to do.

*WARNING IF YOU ARE SQUEEMISH*
Do not read the following text!

Well I got a fright today, Bella had brought in half a Pidgeon, Yes that's right Half, the bottom half as I recognise the type of feet. I had fun getting it off her as she went outside with it trailing between her legs and she was hissing and growling at me. But I  managed to get it and it was finally disposed of!!!

Look at them here, Butter wouldn't melt!!!

Oh nearly forgot I have taken over the running of the Beatrix Potter Quaker sampler blog, So if you have this to stitch and would like to join us just email me. The same goes for the Ink Circle Stitchers blog if you have an Ink Circles Design to do email me and I'll send you an invitation. Or even if you would like to offer encouragement. That would be much appreciated
