Hellloooo!

It has been a while, I haven't had time for any stitching, been busy with my volunteer roles with Cats Protection. I even haven't had time to update my CP blog either.
Looked at my googlereader I am so behind on reading blogs.
over 1000 waiting to be read! oh dear.
But I am here because I will be stitching soon, I have two things I need to do, a Speciality stitches RR, and my name which I bought from Nia cross stitch.
Hopefully I will have pictures to show you soon.

Over a month

Gee it has been that long since I posted, also I haven't been reading blogs
This is how many I have waiting, I will try and read them I just won't be able to comment on many.

I have been so busy with my two new roles at Cats Protection, I haven't stitched or crocheted, I have done a little sewing on my friendship quilt though. Maybe when things settle down I will be able to find the time.

But for now, Thank you for stopping by

Diamond Jubilee Exchange Part two

Clare has received what I made so I can now share what I have been stitching with you.
This design is available from Nia Cross stitch

I hope you can see the union jack uneath the white fabric it shows up better in real life

And here is the fabric I used to back the cushion.

I will be stitching myself one of these, it was hard to let it go LOL

Diamond Jubilee Exchange

I joined an exchange with Clare for a Jubilee Exchange.
All was going well, and then I realised I had made a mistake on the design, and it would mean loads of back counting to find out where the mistake was, and I couldn't lose any time as I was late with this exchange as it was!

This is the design I WAS stitching.
It was available in CrossStitcher Issue 250
By pottery designer Emma Bridgewater.

So I decided to stitch the design I had bought for myself, and I am rather pleased with it, and I can always stitch it again for myself.

Watch this space
But I won't share my photo yet as I have done something special with it, just in case Clare reads this, that can be a surprise.

From Clare I received an apron that she glitzed up with some Made in Britain ribbon which I just love, and the patch of cross stitch on the front.

and a close up of the stitching

This is too good to put to real use. I may just hang it on the kitchen door and warn everyone not to touch it LOL.

Yes I am late in sending! so will have to wait until Clare receives my exchange piece before I can share with you!

Thank you for stopping by
Rachael

July Cottage

The photo of the Cottage for July is out see here.

Now is it wrong to totally change a design, is it a breach of copyright?
I will not be stitching this as it is, as I am English and proud of it. And there is nothing wrong with People celebrating their national holidays, but it is not me. I hope that doesn't make me sound bad, it was the same for March I am not Irish so changed that one!

I am probably gonna be told off here, but why are American proud to celebrate St Patrick's day, but not St George's day, or St Andrew's or St David's day when they are more likely descendant from those nationalities as well. I do hope someone from abroad could let me know so i am not so ignorant of why this is?

I did ask if they would maybe do an alternate design for those of us who are not American or into Americana stuff. But I didn't see a reply unless I missed it.

Umm I may just leave that one until I decide as I would like to change that to a English summer theme, I will do the same for the November one.
what do you think?

Procrastination

Yes, as you can tell from the previous post, I do love the Ink Circles designs. Yes I went through a phase of doing these type designs, but I really need to get them done, would I do them now, hell yes, I still have some waiting to be done.
I am going to be working on Cat Lessons and the Chinese design Hubby brought me back from China. That's the third photo down.
I also want to start the Tiger from Yiotas as well, but I have a couple of exchanges to do first!

Yes Jo I do get bored hence the UFO status LOL
Shebafudge I used to work that way, then I found the internet then it got seriously dangerous for me and my bank card!!

Thank you all for stopping by!!

Hugs Rachael xx
