Look what I saw today at Costco, A ceramic creme egg jar, they had creme eggs in as well,
But Andy was mean and wouldn't buy me one :0) They were about £9!
What started as a place to record my Cross stitching is mostly Crochet but occasionally a bit of stitching.

One month gone already!
Gosh is it really the end of January already!!!
Hopefully I will have some pics to show you after the weekend, as I have two exchanges that hopefully will be with their new owners.
I have been working on this and that, not been able to stick to one set project at the moment, I really need to get the beads sewn onto Galatea, and make a start on Sark for my MIL...where's my motivation...oh yeah it is waiting with my other wips...LOL
I was watching this fella, not sure what he is?.
Yes I know I need to fill up the other feeders, I haven't done it recently with us getting the cats, for obvious reasons
I hope you all have had a safe and peaceful January 2010
Hugs
Rachael xx

Christmas ornie exchange
I took part in an exchange on the Stitcher's showcase, for a Christmas ornie exchange, well mine never arrived. So the lovely Elisa made me a replacement, isn't it gorgeous, I think I can get away with having this up all year until my tree comes out again.
Thank you again Elisa!

Stitchy pics!!
On Wednesday the kids went to my sisters after school for tea, so I had a day to myself. So I decided to get out the Lord of the Rings DVD's and watched them back to back and stitch.A bit of Orlando Bloom!Yes it was bliss!!
I am quite pleased with myself as I have finished the border on the Beatrix Potter Quaker, Now just to do all the motifs on the inside.
***
I have been seeing a few Just Nan new starts on the blogs, as they have a SAL going on at Stitch and Stashers forum. So I dug out mine and made a start. I know I am naughty I have far too many wip's and many things that were top of the list to start first, but you know how it is when these whims just sweep us away!!
So here it is the chart ( Thanks Julie) and fabric is a sparkly greeny colour and DMC threads.
.I didn't have to fetch the kids after school Friday as they go to Grand parents so I had another DVD fest ,this time The Pirates of the Carribean. Nothing like a bit of Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom!!
And here is my first progress on this
***
Oh and last but certainly not least I received a package today from Hazel

Half a Bird!!
Have you enjoyed the snow or detested it?
Well it is on it's way out here, we were supposed to get more Sat/Sun but as usual the forecasters got it wrong again.
I finished this the other day, but I'm not gonna make it up yet, need some cardstock first, so thought I'd show you the progress
The Peacock Chair
***
Working on an exchange piece at the moment, I think I will try and keep up with the exchanges I will be doing this year by putting a box in the sidebar so I can see what I have left to do.
*WARNING IF YOU ARE SQUEEMISH*
Do not read the following text!
Well I got a fright today, Bella had brought in half a Pidgeon, Yes that's right Half, the bottom half as I recognise the type of feet. I had fun getting it off her as she went outside with it trailing between her legs and she was hissing and growling at me. But I managed to get it and it was finally disposed of!!!
Oh nearly forgot I have taken over the running of the Beatrix Potter Quaker sampler blog, So if you have this to stitch and would like to join us just email me. The same goes for the Ink Circle Stitchers blog if you have an Ink Circles Design to do email me and I'll send you an invitation. Or even if you would like to offer encouragement. That would be much appreciated

A new start for 2010
Here is my new start for 2010.
The lovely Julie gave me the Peacock chair chart last year and I had been looking for the right thread and fabric for it and I think I am happy with my choice. Caron wildflowers in Havana and 32ct Jobelan in Bay leaf.
(Do you see my lovely needle minder pressie from Karen, isn't it lovely)
I have also been Rak'ed by Barb with the Garden chair :0)
so as soon as I finish this I will be starting on that as well
Here is an update on CDT I have managed a couple more Triangles, this is a really easy design to stitch!
Are you enjoying the snowwhere you are (if you have some) My kids have gone to school their school isn't closed, much to the disbelief of the boys. lol
This was the garden early this morning.
The cats are tearing around the house as they won't venture out in the snow, I can hear them upstairs running about chasing each other.

Here is what I picked for Tammy, I just loved this chest and thought it'd be perfect for storing some stash in!and I added some fabric and threads.
And here is what I received from Tammy
A Gorgeous red Scarf, a cute Winnie the Pooh mug, a Festive Fat quarter and a christmas bow which has three oval stitchy panels to attach to it.
Thank you Tammy I love it!!

Last finish of 2009
I have a finish to share with you, my last finish of 2009, This is what I made Karen for her birthday
Fabric~ COM fabric Jaynes Attic
Thread ~ Caron Wildflowers Havana
Normally I would sort out my lists to do for this new year, but at the moment I don't feel like it, I am not going to set anything in writing ( That may change later) I just feel like stitching on whatever I feel like.
I nearly forgot I got a fabulous RAK from Barbara the other day from my wish list the Garden chair by Cat's Whiskers, I tell you what I was so excited I now have the Peacock chair and the Garden chair and you can probably guess what will be started this year...LOL Just waiting for my fabric I ordered to arrive as I didn't have any 32ct in my stash.
Oh of course there will be the Ink circles sal I will be stitching on every month and the BPQsal I still have to finish.
Remember if you would like to join us please feel free to let me know and I will send an invitation
