The Holidays are coming....

Yes, I am feeling quite Christmassy, I am sat here wearing my PJ's and a Santa's hat.
I only want to do Christmassy things, so I am attempting some mini snowmen.... yes well a few more attempts needed I think.

Christmas tree is up, a few bits here and there, I cannot find all my X-stitch ornaments, I know they are here somewhere but my mind is blank on where they are!

Just in case I don't post before Christmas, Have a good one xx

Currently on the hook

I have these in my basket next to my sofa, I do have circular in there but haven't got any further as of yet. It will be a foot pouffe. But it does cause the hands to hurt doing it.

I had been looking after 5 kittens for the past couple months. They went to Cats Protection today and I am a little bit sad. I will miss their snuggles and little motorboat purrs. But they will have wonderful pets. I just hope they are not waiting too long.

Finish!

I have a finish!
I had run out of this wool which is from B&M and my local store had also run out of this colour, but my lovely friend Ann bought some for me at her local store. Isn't she an Angel xx

The design is on Ravelry , it is a Scoodie, By Melissa Grice the design does have ears but I decided not to do them

I love receiving packages through the post

But these had me stumped as to what they were, I normally can tell what they are but these. I will let you see for yourself.

I just love how they vacuum packed them, I had no idea what they were until I opened the packages

A lovely weekend!

Saturday was the Needlecraft Haven meet up in Nuneaton which is organised by Clare.
We had a special guest from the USA, and some of us stitched a coaster for her to remind her of her trip to the UK, I stitched a sheep.
Yes I stitched!
I crocheted for most of the time.
This is for a xmas wreath I am hoping to get finished for Xmas.
I didn't realise that I had only taken the one project with me, so I nipped to Wilkos and got some different wool and started a C2C Blanket.

I bought some fabric today, as I went to the Old Dalby Crafters group, I have missed attending there every month due to work. It has been lovely catching up with everyone.

I have finished the C2C Scarf, here is my Cat Bella Modelling it.

Hooded Scarf

I know I have only just posted, but wanted to share my current project I am doing, My version of this Hooded Scarf by Melissa Grice
I am not sure if I am adding the ears or not though.

But this chunky wool I bought from B&M is just lovely, I have also bought some in blue and the last two pink ones.

On a different note...

I have to say as I am getting older I really don't like fireworks anymore!

I'm back

I hope everyone is okay, and keeping warm.
I have just got back from Cyprus I actually did some Crochet, also a tiny bit of stitching which I can't share, sorry.
But here is the Crochet, I did most on the flight, as it was too warm to do out there.
Andy did get a photo of me crocheting but I won't scare you as I was in my swimsuit. xx
I did last night start a new project, I must really finish the ones I have already, but there is so much I want to do.

Wool glorious wool

I have finished my poncho, it is big enough to keep me warm. Not sure about adding tassels as I tend to catch them on everything, I am going to wash it and hope for the best.

But I have a new start...Yay! 😘

Love this, it is wool I bought at Yarndale and it was not cheap! It was from the Natural dye studio, Merino wool 100%
Ok off to hook some more xxx

Sunday stroll

Had a lovely walk today at Foremark Reservoir. Nice when the sun was out.

Picked some berries as I wanted to take a picture.

Have had a bit of a crisis with the poncho, I have ran out of the Orange with only a couple of inches to go!!

It has grown a bit!

But it still needs more. I am quite pleased with progress even though I have been off work, with back pain. It has kept me out of mischief!

Sunday, 5 October 2014

Ha ha of course it is....

Yes it is a poncho, although I have re-started it as the neck was too tight,

I have looked at different pictures of ponchos my favourite being one that Lucy of Attic24 has done I loved the pattern she did, but the colours were fab but too bright for me, I have chosen some scheepjes stonewashed wool that I saw somewhere on blogosphere, I can't remember where.
Thought I would share this little cute project bag I bought at Yarndale, I love this fabric!

Saturday 27th September

Yarndale, I am so glad I went, is was a truly tiring but woolly filled day.
Firstly it started when I caught the train to Leeds and then a bus to Shipley and then a train to Skipton, all was going well until I decided to follow to ladies who I thought were going to the same place....well they were going to place mentioned in Attic24's blog, Coopers Cafe.
So I thought it must be on the way, but after I walked into Skipton itself I knew for certain I was in the wrong direction, which I may add was also wrong as I stopped to ask a CPSO where Yarndale is being held, and she had sent me further into Skipton. So it wasn't all my fault, My phone could not get signal as I would of used google maps!

Anyway after the lovely lady at the Skipton Tourist information gave me a map and recommended I walk along the canal path, off I set...I needed to hurry as I had pre-booked a workshop that started at 10am, all I can say is the Yarndale path with all the crochet lampposts etc is not a short walk!!
anyway here are some pics

This is me at my Workshop when I finally got there, I was only 10 mins late and not the only one.

Here is what I was making, a basket/bag, still need to finish it off

 SHEEP!

If you look closely you may see Lucy from Attic 24, she seemed very nice but always had people waiting to speak to her, I hope she managed to get a break!
