New Start

Spent the first part of today at Twycross Zoo with the kids, now they are at their Dad's and so I have decided to stitch but a small design nothing too taxing.

I hate it when kits come like this and you have to and sort similar colours out!

This is my little bit of progress!

What another lovely sunny day, May get some stitching done.
At the weekend I went to the Dalby Crafters monthly meet up, I haven't been since October and after a phone call with my friend Wendy, It was decided it was about time we returned. Since we last went they had changed venue, from the scout hut to the village hall, It is a bit smaller(The doors are tiny) but lots of bright natural light. It was a lovely day, I got lots done.

I did a design by Paper Panda

 

I also started a design by RowanDean I bought at Olympia Knitting and Stitching show.

It is called Echinacea "Paradiso"

 

 

I have also stitched on Winter Sampler By InkCircles, I will share a photo next time.

Dreams

I am a bit of a Dreamer at times, and wish that I could find something I want or need easier. One of those things would be to find a café where I could go and stitch or Craft for a couple of hours without being made to feel that I need to move so others can sit where I am. And for it to be a light and airy space and a nice atmosphere.

Hellooooo!

Once again I am apologising as I have no stitching pics to show, but I do have some Crafting to show.
I have been so busy with work, I have managed to fit in some crafting even though it was for work!

I have done some papercrafting for awards at work for Inspirational Women Of the Year, Derby and Derbyshire. Here they are all lined up ready to be awarded! It was a fantastic night!

I am going to the Olympia Knitting and Stitching show on Sunday, Can't wait!!

An Update

I am currently at a friend's house teenager/house sitting, so she can go out and enjoy herself, which she really needs! I have done as much as I can on the crochet I showed you, I bought six balls, well it does not go very far, I am hoping I can get some more of the same dyelot next week!

 

So luckily I also brought this with me, It's not wool but textile yarn called Boodles.

Not sure what I am making with this either will have to see, I was going to make a bag but need to look for a pattern for that.

 

I am still trying to get back into blog reading, I have been doing but not commenting.

Okay New Starts for a New year

First new start is Welcome by Alesandra Adelaide Needleworks

 

And the second new start is a well I am hoping to be a sort of shawl/Scarf thing but just using the basic granny Stripe from Lucy's Attic.

 

 

I am using Sirdar Kiko super chunky wool Shade 0413 and size 10.0mm hook.

 

I am hoping to sort out a monthly craft group at where I work but not sure if there will be much interest, Hopefully if I market it properly then it will happen.

 

I have been very busy since last year, I am working now and I moved house so still trying to get sorted. I think that is why my interest in my crafts has come back.

Well hopefully my posts won't be so long in between!

A New day and a New year!

I am hoping to start posting again, I have started a new project '*sigh* why does she not finish her UFO's I can hear you ask' Well maybe one day, I have to start small, as I have not got into the swing of doing all the time ...Yet!

Nia Cross Stitch

November! 2013 is nearly over!

I only seem to post when I actually have something to share, so what have I got to share, well I went to Crop a couple of weeks ago, and made a Etui Box,
Thank you Ladies at the Dalby Crafters for the help in making this

 

Today I went to the annual meet up in Nuneaton with the ladies from Needlecraft Haven. I actually stitched the last letter on the piece I started last time I went to Nuneaton, Just the back stitch to go.

As always these days go to quickly.

Lots of chatting and stitching done.

I also added some more to the friendship quilt, It is started to grow more
