I am hoping to start posting again, I have started a new project '*sigh* why does she not finish her UFO's I can hear you ask' Well maybe one day, I have to start small, as I have not got into the swing of doing all the time ...Yet!

November! 2013 is nearly over!

I only seem to post when I actually have something to share, so what have I got to share, well I went to Crop a couple of weeks ago, and made a Etui Box,
Thank you Ladies at the Dalby Crafters for the help in making this

 

Today I went to the annual meet up in Nuneaton with the ladies from Needlecraft Haven. I actually stitched the last letter on the piece I started last time I went to Nuneaton, Just the back stitch to go.

As always these days go to quickly.

Lots of chatting and stitching done.

I also added some more to the friendship quilt, It is started to grow more

So sad

I always hoped that this day would never come, Cathey of Pumpkin Patch has passed away, I haven't blogged very much lately but I need to post this, as she was such an inspirational lady, to read her posts when most people would be down, she cheered you with her positive and funny view of everything and gave you a reason to enjoy life. It breaks my heart to know that her 'junior' will not have this inspirational lady in his life as he grows. But I am sure his family will let him know what a lovely lady she is.
Caring about others when she herself was battling cancer.
When I see Pumpkins I always think of Cathey, the past year I haven't been apart of the blogging community but know that everyone will be sadden by the loss of  'Pumpkin'

My thoughts are with her family and close friends.

I haven't picked up a crochet hook or needle except to pack them away, I will be moving home soon, as well as a new job!! It is all go at the moment!!
Hopefully when I am settled I will come back and have something to show you.

I have been itching to crochet, I may even pick up a hook and do some!

Just wanted to share with you what I have been up to lately. A while back I organised a Calendar competition for the Derby Adoption Centre, with people filling in an application form and £1 per photo to enter. We have over 100 entries which was fabulous.

The next step was deciding the winners. So after I numbered all the photos, I asked the staff and volunteers to pick their 12 favourite photos.

 

So we have the 12 winners who all got a slimline version of the Calendar for winning.

And finally the calendars are printed and for sale!

 

Bookmark Exchange

I took part in the meet up bookmark exchange over at Needlecraft Haven.
We all had to write in a card our Favourite Flower, Favourite Sweets and Favourite colour
I sent to Jane who said she liked tulips same as me, I had planned to stitch jane on the bookmark but I ran out of time. Jane also said Turquoise and Purple were her favourite colours so I sent some sparkly threads.
