I have finished the cross stitching on this, I just need to nip into town tomorrow to fetch a skein for the backstitch/outline and words
What started as a place to record my Cross stitching is mostly Crochet but occasionally a bit of stitching.

A bit of stitching
Yes stitching!!
My sister asked me last tuesday if I would stitch a baby sampler for a friend who was due 24th Nov, so I said yes why not plenty of time!
So I found this cute pic in an old magazine, but I am doing it in blue not pink.
Oh yes i nearly forgot!
Weds morning I got a text from my sister saying that her friend has had the baby!! LOL yes so I need to get a crack on with this!!
Don't forget to vote for my first project of 2012!! Please!!

2012
Yes I have been thinking ahead, and I would like to get some finishes of my wips/ufos. So I am thinking of having a monthly stitch on a certain project to try and get it done and nothing else, unless it's an exchange/gift.
These are my stitchy projects that I have
Blackstone Fantasy Garden
Beatrix Potter Quaker sampler
2x Tribal butterfly By sparklies
Roses in the garden by Loopylou
Winter Mandala
The Garden Chair By the cats whiskers
I'm not Fat, I'm fluffy
Needle in a garden by Just nan
Chinese design
A Quaker Christmas By Bygone stitches
Treasure Hunt
Growth rings
x2 Bramble and the rose by Ink circles
Cirque des Triangles by Ink Circles
Cats lesson for people
Garden Stars by Ink circles
I was thinking of doing a vote maybe to see which one you would all like to see finished first, you can all help me if you don't mind! So the first choice to be stitched on in January.
.
There are four polls and the right hand side bar! as I couldn't fit them all on one you can vote once in each, if there is more than one with the most votes, I will have the final deciding vote!
Thank you!!
what do you have that needs finishing?

Sunday Scout Hut Crafters
Saturday Meet Up
I can now show you the two ornaments that I have given out this weekend.
Firstly here is the Ornament for Lorna for the Ornie exchange I am in.
Firstly here is the Ornament for Lorna for the Ornie exchange I am in.
And this ornie was for Wendy as a thank you for doing me a huge favour!
I did some crochet on the day also manage to do one flower hexagon, when I have some daylight I will take some more pics.
We did a Raffle with a difference, we all wrapped our raffle bits in brown paper so when people went up they weren't attracted by the packaging. This is my raffle prize from Helen.
Thank you Helen!
I forgot to take a picture of mine that Ann won. I do hope she really liked it!
Here are some pics from the meet up
I like this one we were messing about on the stage whilst Ann took some pics, LOL This is the calmer one we did!
I do look forward to these meetups.
I won't be helping organise another myself, as this last week I have not been able to contact the caretaker of the community centre, so had no idea if everything was still okay until the morning of the meet up, then I was worried people wouldn't be able to find it, as well as other family stresses as well that morning!
To those who organise these things on a regular basis I hold my hat off to you!!
I would love a stitchy retreat to do stuff all weekend, so no packing away to go home.

New wheels
In the morning I am fetching my New(to me) car, my beautiful Ulysse's can take no more I have had her since 2006 and no longer can I afford to run her, she drinks too much petrol, and the car tax is a little dear.
I has moved my sister so many times I cannot remember ( I can fit in a three seat sofa inside)
I will miss having a seven seater, but alas I will be the owner of a five seat hatchback again. No more moving furniture, and I will have to pay delivery once again!
So I will have a blue Kia Rio, it will be strange to drive so low down again, I was destined to be a van or Lorry driver I think LOL
I am hoping to have something to show you soon.

Door Prize and an update.
Mr postman has been today, and brought me a package from the US of A
From Lettie Eckberg of Needle's Notions
I took part in the door prize on her stall at the Needlework Show. Myself and another lady won.
I had a choice of two charts.
I love looking at charts but trying to decide just two, oh that was hard.
My first choice had to be Lucy Locket Sampler, for my DD. Of course!
and I also choose Alphabet Dolls I just thought these were adorable.
Thank you so Much Lettie!
Now on to an update on these, I have decided not to do an advent now, I am just going to make them into ornaments for the tree. I just need to find where I put the christmas fabric.
These three are what the children have choosen for their personalised ornaments.
Lucy ~ Present, Jack ~Bear, Reece ~ Robin
I might do the gingerbread people for me and hubby!
I have been busy the last week decorating the front room, when I remember I will take a photo to show you.
