Vampires

I have been hooked on Vampires for a while, I love The Lost boys, it is one of my favourite films of all time, and I have read all the Twilight Saga books and watched the films that have been made so far. I have read the Morganville vampire books By Rachel Cain which is aimed at teens but I am a teen at heart! LOL

Recently I have been watching the Buffy and Angels got most of them on DVD didn't watch it when it was on TV didn't appeal to me then, But I do love it now. Oh and I do like 'Being Human', Blade, Vampires Assistant, Van Heilsing, Underworld, Interview with a Vampire.
I haven't got into that other series True Blood, maybe it was the slow dim witted blonde in it that put me off
Now I am watching series one of the Vampire diaries which is another series I am now hooked on

So what is it about these Mythical creaures I like so much, The hunky actors that play them, umm maybe, or the great stories, umm maybe.....or maybe I should stop analysing myself and just enjoy them!! ;0)

Anyone else like these type of stories? Do you know of any I haven't mentioned or forgotten about??

New addition to the household.

Meet Lily our new kitten,
I couldn't resist her!
She was found at the JCB plant and one of the employees brought her in to the Cat's Protection when she was approx 6 weeks old she was so tiny.
She is approx 12 weeks now and a little madam, we went to fetch her on Thursday. So far Tango has been okay with her, but Bella was hissing and growling at her at first, although she is getting used to her, she's not hissing or growling at all now, still wary of her though.
When she is playing with Tango she bounces round like Tigger.

Howdy!

Well my Mum was taken back into Hospital Thursday, but she is home yet again And they have finally explained her condition to her, and hopefully she will stay out now.

But in between visiting my Mum I have managed to fit in two meet up's! The one last Saturday in Melton Mowbray ( If you are on my facebook you'll see photos)and the one today in Nuneaton. It is lovely to be able to sit and stitch with friends and both meet ups have cheered me up. And I have managed some stitching at both days. I did the rest of the black outline on Winter mandala last week, and started a Margaret Sherry piece. And today I finished the edging on a Hardanger piece for a Friend and did some colour on Winter Mandala. So I am happy. I will upload pics soon I promise just poke me if I don't!
Thanks for visiting (Hugs)

Thank you for your lovely comments

I did a little stitching at the weekend and hopefully will get some done this weekend as well.

Stalling....

I have been stalling for a while, I really need to stitch on this, The Isle of Sark. I really do not like stitching on these type of designs, if it were mine it would've been in the bin a long time ago, but it's my MIL's she bought and asked me to stitch it. Over a year ago :0P.

So I am gonna try and do a weekly slot, and you are allowed to shout at me if I don't as I need all the encouragement I can get (LOL)

The only other thing I have touched at the moment is the Winter Mandala, I will update on that another time.
I hope you are all well sending you Hugs if you need them.

Rules for kids

  • Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!
  • Rule 2: The world doesn't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
  • Rule 3: You will NOT make £60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
  • Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
  • Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.
  • Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
  • Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
  • Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
  • Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.
  • Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
  • Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

I am not sure who the Author is, but had to share!
