Happy Birthday Lucy

My DD is 10 years old today. Here is the not-so-secret HK cushion I made her.

And she woke us up at 5:30 asking if she can open her presents!! I made her wait till 6:30!

But she got lots of pressie's and cash.

You can see what she got a lot of.

She wanted to go spend some of her money, she bought a DS game and a scooter, and some stationary stuff.

One of her friends has come round for tea, they are upstairs on their DS's now.

And tomorrow we are going to Go Ape, she is taking her other friend with her for that.

I might have some pics of that...LOL

3 years already!

I have had a blog either here or wordpress for three years, Gosh I didn't realised it had been so long.
I am not going to have a giveaway this time not online that much so I haven't been blogging as much.

Car bootie!

On Sunday I did a Car boot, took loads of stuff that was too good to take to the tip. Made quite a bit of profit as well. So just before we had finished I went for a wander at some of the other car boots! and I came across these(Top 3) They were so pretty I couldn't help myself. The bottom one with the scissor in was my Grandma's. I seem to have taken a liking to crystal and cut glass items at the moment.

Maybe it's because my kids are no longer babes and toddlers and not in the breakable stage.

Not much stitching atm except when I can stitch on Hello Kitty, DH gave me an early present as he is away this week, the first four seasons of Angel so I have been watching that.

The secret's out..

I was stitching on Hello Kitty this morning, then I decided to do some sorting and got busy taking stuff to the tip.
Anyway I fetched the kids from school, and was busy in the kitchen making Tea, when....I heard 'Awwww Hello Kitty!! Mummy!!!'
Yes I had forgot to hide it.  I said to her "well bang goes your Birthday surprise", and she replied "well I'll pretend I haven't seen it!"
Aww bless her!! LOL
So I'll just have to keep it away until her birthday as she won't see it finished until then.

Hello Kitty

I had plans to pick up an UFO and stitch on that but I realised I have only 3 wks till Lucy's birthday, and I wanted to stitch her a Hello Kitty design.

Most of you who recognise the little white cat know you mostly get HK stuff in Pink and Lucy has gone off Pink ,and her favourite colour is now blue.

So I am now stitching HK but in blue clothes.
It has to remain a secret so I hope she doesn't go snooping like little girls do!!!

Now….to the Question:

Suppose we say that there are two types of stitchers.

There are those who enjoy the “process” of stitching. They stitch for stitching’s sake and if something gets finished, so much the better, but it’s not necessarily the end goal. Primarily, it’s the application of needle and thread to cloth that makes them happiest.

 

Then there are those who are “project” stitchers. They move steadily through their projects, certainly enjoying their stitching time, but finding their greatest joy in the completed stitching.

 

If you had to pick one to describe yourself, which type of stitcher would you be? I imagine that we could all say that we fall somewhere in between, but really think hard about this and try to pick just one. And once you’ve decided whether you’re a Process or Project stitcher, tell us if your recognize that approach in other parts of your life.

I have to say I think I am a 'process' stitcher I just love stitching, just for the sake of stitching, and I am not that concerned about having a finish, (but it is nice to see the end product occasionally!) well look at all my WIP's, I like variety hence the difference in each type of style of WIP I do. 
I am the same in my life as well, I am not the sort who is a clean freak, I do clean obviously, but as a friend once said to me, A house is not a home if you cannot write 'I Love you ' in the dust. And I love that saying LOL And I get mad urges to have a major spring cleans occasionally!
People who have visited my house will tell you I have a tendacy for clutter, I like my bits and bobs, but I am getting better I have been having a major clearout, I feel a car boot sale coming on!
